Image Certification
Each image is signed under, and on the back of the photo; and usually on the mat. Title and edition number is the same as well.
A signed certificate and a copy are attached to the back of the foamboard. It describes the photo in detail, certifies the edition [limited or open] and is signed by me.
Limited editions are usually limited to 25 total prints of any size made from the same original digital raw negative file. On occasion the total number in the edition is larger. When the total number is reached, there will be no more prints created.
Open editions are certified for authenticity, but not numbered. Unlimited numbers may be printed.
Standard Materials List
Framed & unframed images, are typically constructed with the listed materials. All materials that touch the photograph are archival and high quality for long, long lasting image quality under UV protected glass.
UV protected clear glass is used on all framed prints. Ultraviolet rays from light slowly create damage to many things, including the delicate colors of photographs. Anti-glare UV glass is preferred by some, and may be used or switched out after purchase.
Frames are all standard narrow black metal frames. All are glazed, mounted, matted, wired and ready to hang on your wall.
Matting & mount materials are all acid free and archival materials. The photo is mounted on acid free foamboard using linen tape T mounts. Rising white museum standard mat outer frame is used over the mounted image. [among other things, a mat provides space between the glass and the photopaper]
Photo papers & inks used are all Epson high quality, professional papers. A specific paper is matched to specific images’ mood, color, intensity, among other things. Paper is described on the accompanying certificate, always a high quality fine art paper. Most often a white hotpress Epson fine art paper is used.
