The elevators tower above the wheat fields of Cheyenne County, watching and waiting in the hot Kansas wind, for the filled wheat trucks to come to in to the grain station. Buildings of cones, cylinders, boxes, circles line up along the parallel rail tracks, waiting for the trains to come and stop at the grain station in Bird City.
