In conjunction with The Month of Photography, Lakewood Arts is hosting a juried, night photography exhibition. Photographers are invited to submit nighttime and low light images of all genres.
Juror: Gary Reed
Gary has been living in the photographic and fine art printing world since 1986 primarily in production, sales and as a consultant. After majoring in photojournalism and editorial photography at The Art Institute of Colorado, Gary shot commercially for several years. He was General Manager at Reed Art & Imaging, a fine art printing lab for over 32 years. Currently he shows his work in various galleries, shops and art fairs along the front range. He has been experimenting with alternative printing techniques, mixed media and encaustic artwork in addition to his traditional photography Being an active participant in the community is important to Gary, currently a Board Member of The 40West Arts District. He was previously on the board of Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe and the Colorado Photographic Arts Center. He also works closely with many city agencies and is on the advisory boards for T.H Pickens and the Cherry Creek School District photography programs.

Below the bridge, on the sandy edge of the cool stream, is another world for just two. They escape the sounds and smells of the busy street crossing the bridge above. The sweets smell and sounds at the edge of the cool stream fill another world…just for two.

Another World Just for Two was selected to be 1 of 35 juried photographs on display until Aug 8.
This 12×18 black and white fine art photograph is a pigment inkjet print on archival hot press Epson fine art paper, mounted with a 2-1/2 in white museum rag mat; and UV clear conservation glass with black metal gallery frame. Limited edition of 25 prints.
CPAC founded in 1963 in Denver by
Eugene Lang (Founder/Chair/First President), Jim Milmoe (Vice President), Glen Thrush (Secretary) and 12 others including Hal Gould, who would go on to become one of the region’s most influential figures in photography.
